A caterpillar is safe in its cocoon but that’s not what it’s born to be. It is in the stars. You were born for a purpose and meant for far greater things, which you can’t reach by staying here. You have to go

Mostly we all Indian know about ‘Dhruv Star’ and the story of a little boy- ‘Dhruv’ full of determination at such a young age. Myth or history, but these stories had always been a source of inspiration in the early days of our childhood. And now you must be wondering why am I discussing Druv?

So the story of Dhruv is the base of the Mythological Fiction Book – ‘The Weilder of Trishul’. The book starts with the story of Dhruv and the boon offered to him by Lord Vishnu. The story takes further to his descendants living in Dhruv World. The book is set in some parallel universe, taking you back to the days of Kings and Queens, prosperous kingdoms, celestial Weapons, prophecy, and a lot more.

The King of Siddh look along with his wife seeks the blessings of Sapt Rishis for their new married life. But Sapt Rishis surprises them with a prophecy that the queen is pregnant with a baby who is destined to be the Weilder of Trishul’. But with that good news comes a condition that the birth time of child will decide its fate, either he will be a Weilder or a destroyer. They also warned of the tough decision that needed to take in the future.

The Wielder of Trishul- is the title for the person who will wield the Trishul of Shiva gifted to one of their ancestors after tough meditation. Whoever will wield the Trishul will get the power of Weapons and will be considered as most Powerful. The News spread throughout the Druv look.

Another Prophecy by Sapt Rishis to the king of Kailash Rajya suggests that a daughter will be born to him and will play a strong role in future events. King of Kailash seemed happy with the fact that ‘Devi’ is coming to their home.

At the same time at some remote place ‘Angara’, Vichitra’s father takes him to guru Sukracharya in hope that Sukracharya accepts his son as his disciple. Vichitra is just 4 years old but with the strength of 10 elephants. His father wants his Son to be the most powerful and take revenge for his brother’s death from ‘ Raakh’ and the king of ‘jambu Rajya’.

‘Viraat’ was born to the Queen of Siddh Lok, Aindrita to the Queen of Kailash Rajya, and at the same time ‘Lakshay’ was born in the kingdom of ‘Jambu Rajya’ on the house of a soldier. But they come together to fulfill their Destiny. Lakshay turns out to be the best fighter of Jambu Rajya and the King of Jambu Rajya sent him to siddh Lok Gurukul for advanced studies. Viraat and Andriya are already in the Gurukul as they belong to the Royal family.

Life changes for all three when Lakshay saves the life of Andrita and King of Siddh Lok awards him with the position of his Bodyguard. Viraat and Andrita’s Family wanted both of them to get married and they both also have developed feelings for each other. On the other side, Vichitra turned into a fierce warrior and even tamed a dragon with the instructions of Guru Sukracharya, who is ambitious to make him the king of all three Loks, which sets the foundation for the second world war.

According to customs, anyone who can wield the Trishul will be the new ‘Lok Rakshak’ of the Siddh look. But Events takes an unexpected turn when Viraat participate in the Position of ‘Lok Rakshak’ and Lakshay challenged him. During the combat, while left with no weapon, Akshay landed near Trishul and unknowingly he wielded the Trishul.

What is in fate for Laskhay, Andrita, and Viraat? What are the tough choices Sapt Rishis warned about? Will the Kingdom accept an outsider as the Wielder of Trishul? Will Virat turn to be a protector or Destroyer? Where Vichitra’s Ambitions will take him? How the life of these four is connected?

Books left us with a lot of questions and equal curiosity to be excited about the second part of the book. Amazing storytelling skills and the beautiful narrative of the story by the author keep the reader curious to read more. It takes you back to the journey in history. At some point, you might relate the story to Mahabharata and other Epics. But it is worth reading and investing time, especially if you love Mythological fiction.
